Course Overview

Global Studies 10 ADV is the second half of tr hihe two year Global History and Geography course.  In June of this year, you will sit for the Global History and Geography Regents exam.  Over the course of three hours, you will answer 50 multiple choice questions, 10-15 short answer Document Based Questions, and write two complete essays.  It sounds like a lot, but it is doable.

In order to help you succeed at mastery level (85 or higher) on this exam, we will use historical thinking skills and inquiry based learning to engage with social studies.

​

In addtition to regular course work, you will read 4 novels - either memoirs or historical fiction and participate in many projects.
